U2 is back on tour and selling
U2 tickets at a brisk pace all over the world. The renowned rock band is in fine form and playing to sold out venues
throughout the world. The story of the rock band from Dublin, Ireland is legendary. In 1976,Larry Mullen posted a notice at their school Mount Temple.
The band formed with Larry Mullen (drums), Paul Hewson, aka Bona (lead vocals), Dave Evans, aka Edge (lead guitar), and Adam Clayton (bass guitar).
In March of 1978, the band changed their name to U2 after Dave Evans brother Dirk left the band. Dirk was older and did not fit in with the younger band members.
U2's climb to superstardom was slow but steady. Their first album released outside of Europe was "Boy". It featured the song "11 O' Clock
Tick Tock" and "I Will Follow". The next two records were met with mixed results. October bombed but the next record "War" soared
with hits "Sunday Bloody Sunday" and "New Years Day".
Currently, many people consider
Coldplay to be the next best thing closest to U2 in terms of
success and popularity.
In 1987, their rock star status exploded with the release of the Joshua Tree. The first two hits "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" and
"With or Without You" roared to number one. The record was number one in the Billboard Top 100 for nine weeks. The record was a defining moment for
U2 and their concert touring took on a new dimension with fans waiting for U2 tickets overnight and camping outside music stores hoping to grab a front row U2
ticket.
Fast forward to 2010, and the band was packing in the stadiums with their innovative
360 tour.
The U2 prices for their shows command approximately $250 for the best seats and the cheap U2 tickets average around $30. You can get tickets at
